Nepal – IN THE LAPS OF HIMALAYAS

Nepal – A small country in the laps of the Himalayan range, is a paradise in itself. I had the opportunity to visit the place and my experience was lovely! Nepal offers jungle safaris, misty mountains, and lakes, treks for adventure enthusiasts and of course, the mighty Mt. Everest. It’s a perfect holiday destination.

I had traveled for 8-9 days and covered Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara.

Kathmandu, the capital city of the country, is crowded and blooming. It’s buzzedย with activity, traffic, and people. Kathmandu was dearly affected by 2015 earthquake. Many of the heritage sites were damaged and are under going restoration work. But, none the less, the carving on the Durbars and temples are worth the visit!

Chitwan a national park, is a home to a lot of animals, from elephants to tigers to peacocks and varied species of birds. The hotels around the national park offer different safaris, giving you a unique experience.

Pokhara – a small town nestled at the foot of Sarangkot hill is a place to go relax and enjoy the natural beauty. Apart from the natural beauty, you can enjoy a trek to the World Peace Pagoda on Ananda Hill and paragliding, if the weather permits, on Sarangkot Hill.

This is only a glimpse of my wonderful journey. For more details read my blog on travelicious.word.

Lovely post. I’d definitely want to visit Mt. Everest, even if I don’t make climbing it.
